Your Favorites and Why?

Exactly what it says on the tin. What's your favorite anime and why?

For me, first place is tied between Princess Tutu and Munto TV. I love these shows because of their story, their animation, and their hot male characters (Fakir and Munto <3). I also like the music that goes with it, and both shows are rather underappreciated (although Munto is slowly gaining popularity due to AMVs...)

i LOVE clannad... its so sad and i love animes that make me cry... don't ask me why >.>
i really like Soul Eater. i think its HILARIOUS. well you know sorta :3 and i like Soul and Kid lots too so yea *O*
I love love love love loooovveeee Full Metal Alchemist, the first and second series... i dunno why, i think it has a great story, and that Edward is just adorable! <3
and i like shugo chara... mostly cause of ikuto... but i thought the story was interesting too so i watched it 8D
i really like Kuroshitsuji... <3 Sabastien was my fave character... and i love ciel too, hes so cute *O* i haven't seen enough of the second series yet to tell if i like it or not
And... i love the anime Kimi Ni Todoke :3 I think its so cute *O* (and i use it alot to edit cause the scenes are awesome !)

Oh man Mayvelle, I had a good laugh at the hot guys bit XD Even if I wasn't a fan of Munto, I did love me some Munto, and Fakir is just a given.

My favourites are Mushi-Shi and Hell Girl. I just love weird stuff like this. Weird, other worldly, kind of morbid stuff. I get sucked into this stuff.

As for manga, it changes a lot. Currently, it's Children of the Sea/Kaijuu no Kodomo. Stripeh has seen how much this series destroys me. It sucks all my emotions out. It's so wonderful. The art is absolutely gorgeous, though some people may have a hard time adapting to it, and the storyling is mysterious, strange and just everything I love. I can't get enough of it.

XD The worst part is I was completely serious. I can find a reason to like just about any show, but a bishie ALWAYS makes finding that reason easier.

Rii's turn!!

My favorite anime is probably Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler.

I love how the author was able to blend the realistic version with supernatural. For example, she was able to add more of London's history, such as the Great Fire and the London Bridge, yet still had things that don't techniqually exist, such as Shinigamis and demon dogs (let alone a demon butler). Plus, the characters that she drew have flaws that are somewhat noticeable (excluding Sebastian's demon-perfect self). The manga isn't that bad as well, though they follow a different plot, she's able to positions and alike well.

If this isn't my favorite, than I have to say InuYasha.

The anime is simply amazing to me! I have a weird taste for things in the past so it doesn't surprise me that Black Butler nor InuYasha are my favorite. Similar to Black Butler, the author also does the same thing in InuYasha. It seems that she really took her time in researching about the Warring Era and drawing the outfits and such correct while adding some of the supernautral things in, such as the Shikon Jewel and the demons. The characters aren't well thought of but its because of that, that they are liked so well (or hated). In the manga, she seemed to focus more on the eyes, so it'd be easier for others to tell what the person was thinking or feeling.

Oh Inuyasha~ <3 XD When I was younger, my friend and I were so obsessed with it. I can't even count how many times we reinacted the scene where Kagome is bathing and Inuyasha is sitting on the cliff, watching >n> From there...the roleplaying just kept going OTL And we did this in real life, at school xD;; Oh boy.

But we loved it so much. We called eachother every Friday night right before it aired just so we could "watch it together".

Oh, MAN. If we're talking anime we used to watch on TV...holy crap, I remember back when TOONAMI first aired, let alone Adult Swim... I miss the first Tom. ;_; He was a good mechanical host.

(Adult Swim? What's that? A program that airs anime? Oh, you mean Dragonball Z and Speed Racer and Mobile Suit Gundam? XD )

In fact, thinking about this makes me feel really old. I remember Gundam Wing and G Gundam when they first came out in America, and all the pizzazz when Inuyasha was first announced. @_@ I did so love watching it. XD

Sadly I didn't watch much anime when it aired QnQ Anime rarely aired here...From what I remember, I watched Cardcaptors when I was very young, along with Sailor Moon. Then I didn't see anime until I was about 9, when Dragonball Z aired, though I hated it. Then I found Inuyasha, Naruto and Bleach ;n; And Beyblade, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon...yanno, the weird stuff XD

AHHH, Pokemon! Forget the anime, it was the hottest news on the playground when they started to air commercials for Pokemon Red and Blue. Some time later we were in the store and my brother and I (9 and 7 respectively) saw giant Pokemon plushies and made a beeline for 'em. Aniki got a Charmander and I got a Pikachu. Actually, that Pikachu is sitting next to my desk right now. (Damn, it's eleven years old! XD I still luffles it.) I'm rewatching the anime right now, though, and I still love it to death! Although, I get a lot more of the jokes now that I'm older.

As for 'Cardcaptors' the only thing I remembered from the dub was 'Li', Windy, and the capture of the Shadow card. That's it. o_o I adored Sailor Moon, though. I don't really enjoy it now though. --_-- Might have something to do with having watched the original version.

One show that I wonder if anyone else on the forum has seen is Outlaw Star. They used to air it, but they stopped a long time ago -- same for Tenchi Muyo. A slightly more recent (though still old) anime they aired on Toonami was Yu Yu Hakusho and the French anime (yes, French) Code Lyoko. I miss Toonami, they had some good shows...

And, of course, Digimon. The first season kicks solid ass.

Bwha XD I don't blame you. I still have my Pokemon cards, though I don't think I owned any plushies.

I only remember that...oh crap whats her name.. Tomoyo, I think that's her name anyway, was called Madison in the american version. That annoyed me. And Toya was Tori. I still love CCS <3 Not so much Sailor Moon though :P Like you. I only enjoy it when it's Sailor Moon Abridged XD

Oh Digimon was the shit. I loved it. I own the movie and watch it all the time XD I'll never get over the ending. "Willis...thank you, Willis.." Total pedo voice coming from a pedo dog clown kthx.

Speaking of Pokemon cards, when I was going through my stuff getting ready to move, I opened a small treasure chest and out poured all of my Pokemon and Digimon cards, including all my limited edition promos, my Japanese originals, my holographics, and my Pokedex cards. I was like "OH SNAP I STILL HAD THESE???!!!" I lost my Pokedex a long time ago, though. I adored that thing. ;_; It was *so* awesome. I could look up any Pokemon according to their number, their type, their name, or their evolutions and I'd get full Pokedex stat readouts on them. And it looked and felt exactly like Ash's Pokedex. I want it back~~~~~

And I had an absolute ARMY of Pokemon plushies. I had enough to enter several teams into a Pokemon Plushie League. XD Not to mention I had about 10 Pikachu plushies...Some that talked and whose cheeks lighted up, too.

and for some reason you know how card captor sakura in english is cardcaptors? well, i dunno why, but i ALWAYS called it card captor sakura... it musta said that in the guide or the opening or SOMETHING. D:
and yea Inuyasha was my fave thing *O* i rememeber getting to the last episode and being like

I also loved to watch FullMetal Alchemist *O* it freaked my friend out cause she happened to watch the episode where scar blew up a guys head.. and she loves horror movies O.o dunno why she got so freaked out, even today. xD she won't even think about the anime now tho D: so sad.
I remember Pokemon and Digimon, and how for digimon they played the same 2 episodes over and over and over and i was like WTF ISN'T THERE MORE???? *watchs movie*
and for pokemon... e.e i liked the games better.. and i have over 700 pokemon cards, only i found out a lot of them were fakes *chokes them somehow*
I also used to watch Witch Hunter Robin... i really liked it, but i only saw a few eps and i don't even really remember what it was about ! D8
and i watched naruto forever untill i went on teh computer and watcha anime... XD that was when i stopped wtaching tv altogether o.o yea . i don't watch tv. isn't it amazing????? o________o
I remember my mom having to video tape my anime cause it was late at night and i wasn't allowed to stay up to watch it. XDD
so funny... i wonder where those tapes went? i'd like to watch them again ;PPP
